TWC Sucks Customer Reviews and Feedback
Time Warner Cable (TWC), also simply known as Time Warner, was an American cable television company. Before it was acquired by Charter Communications on May 18, 2016, it was ranked the second-largest cable company in the United States by revenue behind only Comcast, operating in 29 states. Its corporate headquarters were located in the Time Warner Center in Midtown Manhattan, New York City, with other corporate offices in Stamford, Connecticut; Charlotte, North Carolina; and Herndon, Virginia.
TWC has a terrible culture workplace with unethical practices, claims an ex-employee at indeed.com
"Terrible workplace culture, intense micromanagement, unethical practices, Nepotism, no new skills to learn, no support for advancement, cold and stressful environment."
Vocational Rehabilitation Counselor (Current Employee) says"Advancement opportunity and pay are the bigger issues next to an overwhelming amount of turnover, disregard for the worker's needs and management being rewarded (with promotions and pay) for poor results and behavior."
Service Technician (Former Employee) says"Managment lacks knowledge of the fields they work in. They buy up companys they know nothing about and then get mad at the employees when things are wrong. They really should stick to sheet metal work and get out of the ice machine leasing and servicing field. If they were smart they would quit while they are still making some money. Cons: The worst company on this planet"
Former Employee (Former Employee) says"Management lacks the ability to hire qualified employee,s to work in the field or their office. They lie too much and make up garbage as they go along. would not recommend working for this company"
None (Current Employee) says"Terrible workplace culture, intense micromanagement, unethical practices, Cons: Terrible management"
HVAC Service Technician (Former Employee) says"this company will work you around the clock even when your not on call and no matter how many times you rescue them they will forget all you done and not allow you to have any kind of life when you want or need one."
N/A (Former Employee) says"Management and admin treat you less than. The way they speak to the technicians should be a crime! Please save yourself and find another company! Anybody who works here is in the HOT SEAT! No job security for people who have families to feed! RUN RUN RUN AND I MEAN FAST Cons: Management"
Service Technician (Current Employee) says"This company is all about itself and not the employees. The turn over ratio is high and they loose real good people all the time. This company is a micro managed company."
Appliance Mechanic (Former Employee) says"Some weeks you work 50 to 60 hours and some weeks you don't work but 20. You sit at the house until they call you for a job and then don't pay the first hour, the lunch hour, and the last hour on the day. One day you might get called to a job in north Ga. And the next one near the Florida border. Your in the truck with a gps and they call you if your speeding, sitting for to long, or if they don't know where you are headed. The trust in the company is lacking and the act like a Christian company at first. They are not. No family time, on call 24/7.with no on call pay.. I would not recommend this company to anyone trying to get ahead or has a family. You are theirs when you sign the papers. You give up everything, but them. Cons: No trust, No family time, On call 24/7, and no pay for the first hour, last hour and lunch during the day."
Maintenance Technician (Former Employee) says"Worked here for a couple months as a maintenance tech after going to school for air conditioning. Personally hated working here. but they don't provide the Necessary training for new techs which is why ultimately it just wasn't a fit for me personally. Cons: Poor training, poor work/life balance, poor management"
service technician (Former Employee) says"No on-going training as indicated, if your in the field and need assistance then good luck, the office personal could care less about the technicians but only themselves and the management, well good luck. Cons: Everything"
NA (Former Employee) says"Lack of communication, nothing confidential, talked about techs and others, Favoritism, harassment and so forth. Unless you are part of a click you aren't part. Cons: Stress"
Senior technician (Former Employee) says"Very insecure individual runs the show in South Florida, he focuses on negativity and the one thing you might be a little less than perfect in he will pick up on. I saw him tear down a lot of good people down, be careful. Cons: Got to have thick skin and be able to take insults"
Service Technician (Former Employee) says"As with all the other reviews , TWC promises the moon but does not deliver. Also if you decide to work for them, do not let the supposed lead tech feel or show you know just as much as them. They will tell you " you did a very good job", then they will stab you in the back when they report to the main service manager in Atlanta. Cons: bad management"
service tech (Former Employee) says"good benefits compared to the norm and decent pay but no work life balance on call is the worst you will be all over the place not worth it would recommend job if your single no family and no life"
Service Technician (Former Employee) says"I worked here for 2.5 years with no issues. I loved my job and I loved the people I worked with.. Our operations manager was amazing but he was promoted and we ended up with someone we thought would turn out great but after 2.5 years of dedicated service. I never missed a day of work other than taking a normal vacation.. Never called out sick and always took the calls no one else wanted to because I was and always will be a team player. Not completely innocent i was late 2 times and I had some slight refrigeration issues, which the company knew about before they hired me. Anyway 1 month after the manager switch things were very different I felt personally attacked I was told my attitude was bringing down other technicians which is slanderous. I never bad mouthed this company and even after what they did to me I still will not bad mouth them. I won't let one bad apple spoil the whole bunch as they say. The VP in Orlando is fantastic, he is a really smart guy and easy to talk to. Their safety department is second to none and they constantly have growth which is great in this field.. If you are considering TWC and you live outside of Ocala are I HIGHLY Recommend it.. They are a definite career choice. I will not speak on Ocala at this moment for fear of retaliation. Cons: Not at liberty to discuss anything negative with the Ocala Branch, fear of retaliation toward myself and my family"
Administration Clerk (Current Employee) says"The company is great and can grow. What is need is proper management and delegation. Financially it doesn't met all my needs but because I love the job I still give my best. Personal growth depends on you and how hard you willing to push urself. Learning more skills is great here because they trhow you in the deep end and you just have to make sure you survive."
Welder /Concrete Laborer (Current Employee) says"Very hard labor driven work. Offers no insurance, no holiday pay, no vacation pay & no benefits. Cons: low hourly rate during in town work, no advancement. no benefits"
auxiliar de limpeza (Former Employee) says"Dinâmica eficiente pontual ,e dedicada ao trabalho. Ótima em trabalho em equipe ótimo desenvolvimento porem falta oportunidades corretas"
Service Technician (Former Employee) says"I found that most of the office personal was looking out for themselves on a daily basis. A few key people kept things rolling for the service technicians out in the field but this was rare. Further training was not available as promised."
Data entry (Former Employee) says"I am more customer service and twc is not .. they want sales.. I only had a sales background so yes was good foot in door to get training on call centers."
Former Employee - Technician says"I worked at TWC Services full-time Cons: Working with payroll submitting time in the office is miserable. Called constantly interrupting work because lady who billed my work could not figure out my inventory. She is rude and when I complained no one would do anything about it. Her and the payroll lady are both ruthless to work with and management refuses to do anything about their bullying."
Current Employee - Service Tech says"I have been working at TWC Services full-time for less than a year Cons: Dont believe everything your told because they will change it around when it's time to benefit themselves. Managers are not there to help you like they say there are. They will trough you under the bus faster then you can blink."
Former Employee - Anonymous Employee says"I worked at TWC Services full-time Cons: Area VP is a fraud. Corp buys into all his nonsense. They are becoming the second version of a company that is still somehow partially owned by some in upper management."
says"I have been working at TWC Services Cons: Terrible Management and uncomfortable work environment. Extreme lack of professionalism. Limited advancement due to favoritism."
Former Employee - Service Technician says"I worked at TWC Services full-time Cons: Job security based on up selling."
Karen Walker says"@Mike_TWC sucks don't it cause now we can afford the good shit hahaha"
